Here are some photos of the Cricket 20/20 Fun day at Gaza on Sunday 21st February.

It was a great Day – lots of sunshine, the canteen was open, the bar was set up under the veranda and a Barby to finish off the day.

It was organized by Senior Cricket Captain, straight after the Junior Game at Gaza Oval. Most of the Juniors stayed to watch the Seniors, their dads, some old timers from the Club and even a few of the North Demon Soccer players came. By mid afternoon the Juniors joined in the game and bowled out 12 of the Seniors. They had a ball and was really inspiring for them. Even Senior Cricket Director Perry Brook got the pads on and took a bat onto the oval to show us all he really does know how to play cricket.

2010 Funday Cricket at Gaza	Great to see - the Juniors the Seniors the Dads and the Supporters all on the field together

This year we are having the best for many years. With 1 minor game to go the B3 side which has gone up from C1 is in 2nd spot and the C2 side is undefeated in top spot.
Best performers for the B3 are Rob Davey and Daniel Prettejohn with the bat and Brad Joseph and Michael Peck with the ball.
Best performers for the C2 are Troy Bond and Damien Graham with the bat and Troy Bond and Darryl Webster with the Ball.
Our Under 11’s have done absolutely fantastic this year with the side winning 4 games this year. Having not won a game for a few years. Alan Draper has improved them so much and now they are confident in themselves.
We are looking to get new players next season for seniors and juniors, U11’s, 13’s, 15’s and 17’s so we can get our Club back to where it was a few years ago.
